About the Studios
Established in 1989 in Studio City, Sam Christensen Studios operated the Ventura Boulevard facility until purchasing the current studio building in the NoHo Arts District section of the San Fernando Valley in 1998. The location was chosen because of its proximity to the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, many thriving live theatres and the final stop of the all-new Los Angeles subway system.
After extensive renovations, the former small manufacturing location became the most dynamic studio/gallery catering to Hollywood's acting community. Sam personally supervised the six month reconstruction with space, light and a 'New York Art Loft' feeling as the guiding design principles. The 4000 square foot building houses offices for both the actors' training business founded by Christensen in 1986 and the growing corporate education arm. The building is also home to a Headshot/Image Photographers Gallery.
Visitors are welcome – the studio is open from 11 am to 8:30 pm, Monday thru Thursday, from 11 am to 6 pm on Fridays and by appointment on the weekends.
The Sam Christensen Studios building has also had its own career as a movie and event location.
